Zimmi Maternal Empowerment Initiative implements a range of programs aimed at improving maternal and child health.

Maternal Waiting Home

We fund homes near a facility/hospital with essential obstetric services and allow pregnant women to travel there several weeks before delivery, wait for the onset of labor, and be quickly transferred to the facility/hospital for safe delivery. These maternal waiting homes are also funded with items for babies after delivery.

Maternal Health  Education

Our educational workshops empower women with knowledge about prenatal care, childbirth, nutrition, and family planning. We believe that informed mothers are the foundation of healthy communities.

Transportation Services

Access to care:

In many underserved areas, transportation is a significant barrier to accessing healthcare. Funding can be used to provide transportation services to ensure that women can attend prenatal appointments and reach healthcare facilities in case of emergencies.
